Bone Marrow Drive

BONE MARROW DRIVE at the Fit Fair!

You can MAKE A DIFFERENCE right after you run!

Mia, a 2011 NPHS graduate, was diagnosed on January 27, 2009, (at the age of 15) with Severe Aplastic Anemia (SAA); a rare type of bone marrow failure.  As of October 2010, Mia was classified as in remission.  However, we continue our fight in search of a donor match so Mia can have an Matched Unrelated Donor (MUD) Bone Marrow Transplant, if necessary.  Currently, Mia has no matches on any registries.

Another opportunity to join BE THE MATCH (the National Marrow Donor Program) will be held in Mia's honor during the Tuff Cat Run Fit Fair!

  • No cost to you.
  • All you do is use a swab inside your cheek to collect cells (the registry will tissue type the sample from the collection).
  • You must be between the ages of 18-60 years old.

Thousands of patients hope for a bone marrow donor who can make their life-saving transplant possible.  They depend on people like you.  You have the power to save a life.  Take the first step today.
